This bag feeds a shelter cat for 7 days. per bag
We send money, not kibble. Shelters put it where it's needed that week: food, vaccines, spay and neuter, a vet bill.
Every order this month supports Lebanon Humane Society.

Chai
The tea on this page is named after Chai.
The tea
Chai spice, pumpkin pie, no caffeine.
- You'll like it if
- you want the flavor of a spiced chai at nine in the evening
- Maybe not if
- you want a real chai with tea in it — this is a herbal blend
Getting it right
How we'd steep Chai's.
If it tastes good, it is good. These are guidelines, not gospel — start here and move whichever way your cup wants to go.
- Water
- 212°F
- Time
- 5–7 minutes
- Leaf
- 1 heaping teaspoon per 8 oz cup
One sachet per 12 oz mug. No measuring, same numbers otherwise.
- We'd start here
Hot, in a mug
Full boil, and give it the full seven minutes. Honeybush and whole spices both want the time, and neither will turn bitter on you.
As a latte
Double the leaf, half the water, ten minutes, then cut it half and half with hot milk. A caffeine-free version of the drink you would otherwise be buying out.
Over ice
Make the concentrate above, let it cool, then pour over ice with cold milk.
If it's not right
- Too weak
- Add leaf before you add time. Past five minutes black tea gets bitter, not stronger.
- Too bitter
- Pull it a minute earlier, or use slightly less leaf. Water temperature isn't the culprit with black tea — it wants the full boil.
