COVID, Quarantine, and Kittens

COVID, Quarantine, and Kittens

How are you doing? I hope this message finds you well. Last time we posted, it was a time of true uncertainty. It was the beginning of the pandemic and the only thing we knew to do was to buckle down and try to be good to our neighbors. So that's what we did.

With your help, we've helped many folks who have lost their jobs, closed their businesses, and otherwise have been affected by the pandemic. I want to say, from the bottom of my heart, thank you to all who donated. We truly could not have done this without you. As a small business owner whose income comes solely from this business, I'll admit it was scary at first to offer up free coffee to those in need, but our community stepped up and helped us make it possible. We are so grateful for you.

Business is down overall, so we, like many, have been going through the stages of quarantine depression. We spent some time being nocturnal, we baked bread (homemade English Muffins might be here to stay), we gained some weight, mastered a video game, and I guess the next stage is going to be to learn some TikTok dances.

Recently, something that has helped pass the time has been helping Kenny's mom foster a sweet litter of kittens.

One important lesson I've learned during all of this is that when there are kittens in the world, things can't really be all that bad.

I hope this message finds you well. I hope you have found something during quarantine that brings you joy. Thank you for being a part of our community! We are so grateful for all of you.

P.S.

In case you were wondering, we will likely adopt one (though it'll be a while before she gets her own blend!). The rest seem to have homes set up, and are starting to form a waiting list! I could send you to some great shelters if you're looking for a kitten of your own!
