We send money, not kibble. Shelters put it where it is needed that week: food, vaccines, spay and neuter, a vet bill. Less catchy than "feed cats," and it does more good.

How we count
A bag is seven meals.
Here is the math.
Every meal figure on this site comes from one number: the average cost of a day of dry cat food. We divide what a bag sends to the shelter by that cost, and that is the count on the bag.
We send money, not kibble. Shelters put the donation where it is needed that week: food, vaccines, spay and neuter, a vet bill. A dollar there stretches further than a bag of food we could mail.
